Revitalizing the UI design concept and look/feel of this important element of the new website; the 'Foundation Finder'. This new feature allowed customers to select the various skin tone categories and concerns relevant to their complexion and choose from the product categories recommended for their specific concerns.
We had a static and less engaging version of this concept with previous iterations of the brand website and this new feature allowed for a more precise shade matching in an online environment and gave the customer more peace of mind when selection foundation online.

Working closely with the brand's E-commerce department and website development agency, the site was created to ensure a smooth and intuitive online experience for the customer across all devices.
BECCA's website hadn't been updated in several years and the site needed to reflect the brand's evolution and showcase the burgeoning product portfolio that had become much sought after since relaunching at Sephora. With a new website, the brand could drive sales and educate the client directly from their own site.
After many years of utilizing the rich 'BECCA brown' PMS in previous iterations of the site, my intention was that it be used as a complimentary tone instead, to add depth and call attention to important information, thus allowing the iconic campaign imagery and signature packaging to 'pop'.

A series of 'fragrance profile' infographics designed for the Italian haircare brand Rossano Ferretti.
Initially designed to be featured on the Sephora (USA) brand profile page, these infographics feature imagery of the ingredient notes for the five fragrance profiles featured throughout the product portfolio.

Note: The finished art was eventually used on the brand's official website as opposed to the Sephora website. Minor edits were made to the text and circle background colour due to the logo being unnecessary on the brand's own site.

At BECCA we produced video content for every seasonal product launch featuring our Global Brand Stylist, Kerry Cole. The videos were filmed in New York City with Films for Industry Inc.
Content was created and story boarded in-house. The videos were distributed to our retail partners for the brand features page, as well as featuring permanently on the brand website and Youtube channel.

During my tenure at BECCA Cosmetics, I designed and executed all of the finished art for the primary and secondary packaging. The original box artwork consisted of a soft touch coating with knock out white and metallic PMS print, finished off with a silver hot-foiled logo.
At a later time I introduced a shiny silver stock to differentiate limited edition SKUs and inject some tonal/tactile variation into the brand’s packaging overall. I also initiated efforts to update all of the secondary packaging in 2014, to be recyclable without compromising quality or the original aesthetic.

This large 10g acrylic jar was inspired by a legacy BECCA Cosmetics item, Jewel Dust (c. 2005) which was a smaller version of the same component. Comprising of a clear faceted, acrylic jar with removable well insert and powder sifter the intent was to inbue a feeling of light and luminosity - allowing the customer to see the powder encased within.

Small clear, glass jar with metalized overshell and debossed badge detail on cap.
This jar first launched in 2014 with BECCA's Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle. The product formula required that the jar packaging be air-tight and was the first jar of its kind for the brand. Currently used for several products in the range, the jar was customized to differentiate each product, ensuring each iteration fit within the brand's aesthetic guidelines of a restricted, on-brand colour palette.

In 2012 BECCA launched a range of zinc based SPF30+ sunscreen products; ‘BECCA Sun’. Featuring three tinted for the face and one for the body.
The range was designed to feature alongside the core brand skus so needed to be in keeping with the brand’s aesthetic, however should the range grow and be distributed alone, it should also have a unique brand ID.

Between 2004 and 2010 BECCA released marketing collateral to support the seasonal product launches. The brochures were distributed to the brand’s retail partners and were featured on-counter alongside the product display.
Each seasonal launch featured a collection of items that made up the particular look from the photo shoot and the brochures were designed with the theme in mind. The Santa Rosa collection and colourway theme was inspired by the textiles and traditional pottery of South America.
Art direction on original photo shoots (both campaign and product), layout, assisted in copy direction/tone. Finished art and pre-press print management.

Logo, insignia and logotype for Flora & Fauna, a cruelty-free, vegan beauty brand based in San Francisco, U.S.A.
Flora & Fauna founder, Sierra Lewis wanted the branding to reflect and imbue the ethos and meaning behind the name. Flora is the Roman goddess of flowers, spring and youth, while Fauna is the nurturing Roman goddess of animals, wildlife, and fertility.

Retractable Kabuki Brush (2010)
Brown anodized metal casing with natural, brown brush head. Exterior of casing featured silver silk-screened BECCA logo, cap featured debossed BECCA badge deco.
Soft Kabuki Brush (2016)
Gloss, PMS finish and silver BECCA silk screened handle. Synthetic, brown brush head and straight, shiny silver ferrule.
The One Perfecting Brush (2014)
Inspired by traditional Japanese spa brushes that featured bristles sandwiched between two pieces of wood and bound with twine. The brush handle was modified and made from soft touch plastic and completely encased the bristles. The size of the brush enabled the user to apply large areas of the face with make-up in a swift, sweeping motion and the naturally, non-porous nature of the bristles minimized product waste.
The One Perfecting Brush was subsequently released in two limited edition versions; Blushed Copper, Champagne Gold to coincide with the launch of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed shades with the same name.

DELUXE TRAVEL TOILETRY BAG - BECCA Cosmetics

With three large zippered compartments the bag was designed to transport make-up, skin care, hair and body products etc. The front side of the bag contained three plastic open-top pockets and two mesh zippered compartments. The middle section of the bag was designed to store creams, gels or liquid items as the lining comprised of water-resistant plastic; three elastic holders for securing bottles and other loose items were also included in this section.
The back side of the bag featured a built in make-up brush organiser and elastic holders to secure lip gloss, mascara etc; it also contained one zippered pocket and two snap closure clear PVC pockets.
- Exterior crafted in an easy-clean brown nylon (matched to BECCA signature brand PMS 8623C)
- Zip closures with leather pullers run around three sides of bag enabling it to open completely flat
- Embossed with a leather BECCA logo nameplate on the front
- Handles embellished with leather tassel
- Bag zips flat for storage and transport
- Soft-sided construction
- Measures 20” (L) x 13.75” (W) when open, and 9.75” (T) x 13.75” (W) when zippered shut

MINI TRAVEL BRUSH SET - BECCA Cosmetics

With mini versions of existing full-sized make-up brushes, the zippered pouch was made from the same water-proof, brown nylon used for the Deluxe Travel Toiletry Bag and featured the debossed leather BECCA nameplate and leather zip puller. Internal elastic holders offered room for extra tools and makeup while gusseted pouches housed the five piece brush set.
